Eagle Ranch is widely becoming known as one of Canada's best golf resort courses. Built in the shadows of the incomparable Rocky Mountains, Eagle Ranch uses the wildly ranging terrain to bring you a fantastic mix of unique and challenging holes you won't find anywhere else. In the course of a single round, golfers will weave through mountain forests, around wildflower-meadows, and over crystal ponds. There is even an abandoned bear den guarding a spectacular par 3!
When you play Eagle Ranch Golf Resort be sure to bring lots of film, but don't get too distracted by its beauty. Eagle Ranch has the pedigree of a champion. No hole better typifies this fact than the spectacular 18th.
A full 537 yards from the back tees, a long and well-placed drive is an absolute must here. If all goes well with your drive, depending on which tees you were playing, you will have anywhere between 150 and 200 yards left for your second shot, to get you into perfect position to attack the pin. There is only one small catch. In-between you and a successful second shot is a 100-yard ravine that has developed a healthy appetite for golf balls. If all goes well an easy sand wedge from anywhere inside 100 yards will set you up for a birdie on a green that offers some of the most spectacular views of the Columbia Valley and Lake Windermere.
Designed by noted architect Bill Robinson, Eagle Ranch Golf Resort employs undulating greens, subtle changes in elevation, and a daunting combination of six water hazards and sixty sand traps to keep your game honest. Don't be intimidated though, with a choice of four tee-blocks you will be able to find the right game to help you tame Eagle Ranch.
This year add Eagle Ranch to your BC Rockies golf Vacations and find out for yourself why golfers are flocking to this fantastic track.
