Greywolf Golf Course is a track that simply must be played to be believed. Every hole is lined by towering Ponderosa Pines and dominated by the natural skyline of the rugged Rocky Mountains. You will definitely need extra film in your camera, and if your game isn't on, a few extra balls in your golf bag won’t be a bad idea.
No hole better showcases the splendor of Greywolf Golf Course than its signature hole: Cliffhanger. A dramatic par three that plays anywhere from 142 yards from the forward tee to a full 200 yards from the black tees, Cliffhanger has absolutely no fairway. The typical emerald green of Greywolf’s fairways has instead been replaced with the rugged and inhospitable climes of Toby Creek Canyon. Beginning just past the red tees and ending just in front of the green, the canyon has developed a healthy appetite for golf balls, and golfing egos of all denominations.
Club selection is obviously everything on this hole. Be sure to take into account the prevailing wind and the cost of the ball before hitting your shot. Whether you succeed or not, you will have played a golf hole to remember and enjoyed one of the most spectacular views at Greywolf from Cliffhanger's green.
With four tee boxes and bailout areas for all beginners, Greywolf is a course that players of all levels can enjoy. It is truly a "must-play" in the B.C. Rockies. Named the best new course in Canada in 1999 by Golf Digest Magazine Greywolf has done nothing but build upon that impressive credential.
This year, come discover for yourself one of the best courses in Canada. Add Greywolf Golf Course to your BC Rockies Golf Vacation.
