Trickle Creek Golf Resort is one of the best courses in British Columbia and was recently named as one of the best golf resorts in all of Canada by the readers of Score Golf Magazine.
Located in the resort town of Kimberley at the southern extent of the BC Rockies, Trickle Creek Golf Resort offers the perfect blend of small town welcome and large resort service. From the moment you arrive to the last putt on eighteen you will understand why Trickle Creek has found its way on to so many people’s must-play lists.
Trickle Creek’s awards are almost too numerous to mention but include being named “Top 10 for value & quality – Golf Digest Magazine”, “4.5 out of 5 for places to play – Golf Digest Magazine” and the “#1 daily fee course in BC – Acura World of Golf”.
A great example of the Trickle Creek Golf Resort experience is their signature eleventh hole – a downhill par three that offers incredible views of the valley from the elevated tees. Playing just 107 from the forward tees to 174 yards from the tips, the challenge in the hole is not in the length but in the club selection. The two-tiered green sits at the peak of a hill that slopes away on all four sides so being anything but on-line is generally not advisable. Bunkers on all sides will help to keep balls in play that don’t make the green but you may need some imaginative sand play to get up and down for par. Trickle Creek’s silica sand bunkers and immaculate bent grass greens have helped more than a few people look good though so don’t ever count yourself out on this great course.
If you are thinking of coming to the BC Rockies, be sure to add Trickle Creek to your golf vacation list. It is a course you will want to come back to again and again. |
