Getting there: The BC Rockies region is two hours west of Calgary and ten hours east of Vancouver in the southeast corner of British Columbia. The valley’s largest town is Cranbrook. Cranbrook does have an airport but people are better advised to fly into Calgary and drive in the BC Rockies as flights are more frequent and often much cheaper through Calgary than they are out of Cranbrook. Calgary is serviced by most major domestic and international airlines. The region can be reached by highway from all four points of the compass.
