Harvest Golf Club, nestled amongst the apple trees of an orchard high above Okanagan Lake, is one of Canada’s most highly acclaimed golf courses.
Designed by renowned architect Graham Cooke, the Harvest Golf Club’s wide bent-grass fairways, undulating greens and ever-present bunkers give golfers a fair but challenging test of golf. Whether you are a power hitter or rely on your short-game finesse, you are sure to enjoy all that the Harvest Golf Club has to offer.
The universal appeal of Graham Cooke’s style is no more evident than on Harvest’s par 4 eighth hole. A straight away hole that measures just 378 yards from the back tees, length is not the predominant challenge on this hole so you can blast away with whatever your favourite club may be. The challenge of the hole lies in setting yourself up properly for your shot at the green. Off the tee you will have to contend with sand traps waiting for you at 230 and 240 yards from the tee. The choice will therefore be to try and carry the danger or land short of it and go at the green with a mid-iron. If you stray a little off course you can still get onto the green in regulation but you will have to work a little harder to avoid the bunkers that surround the green and the apple trees that line the fairway all the way to the hole.
It is precisely the number of options that Graham Cooke gives you on the tee that makes the Harvest Golf Club a favourite of Okanagan golfers.
Add superb conditioning, great service and sweeping views of the Okanagan Valley and you will see why the Harvest Golf Club is a great addition to your Okanagan Golf Vacation. |
