 The Okanagan Golf Club, tucked into the wooded hills above Kelowna, boasts two fantastic championship courses, The Quail Course and The Bear Course. Each course brings its own unique demands on your game. On the Bear Course, undulating, well-defended greens will mean that your short game will have to be sharp. On the Quail course, tree-lined, rolling fairways will put an emphasis on accuracy off the tee. Individually they are fantastic courses. Together they make for an incomparable double- header and a great part of any Okanagan golf vacation.
 A great example of the Quail Course variety of golf is the par four 18th hole. Arguably the best finishing hole in the Okanagan this 408 yard gem is a sharp dogleg left over water that demands two well executed and accurate shots to have any chance at par. From the back two tees you must hit a long iron or fairway wood to the up the left side of the fairway to set yourself up for your approach to the green. Hitting up the centre or right side of the fairway will simply add yardage to your approach shot. If you stayed up the left side you will be faced with a mid to long iron over 170 yards of water and sand to an elevated, but receptive two-tiered green. If you went up the right side your approach shot yardage could top 200. If you don’t think you can make it you can choose the bailout area to the left of the water and hit your third shot from there. If you do go for it you will soon have a shot you can either boast or burst about at the nineteenth hole.
The Okanagan Golf Club's facilities include a double ended practice range, putting greens, a fantastic clubhouse with meeting facilities, lounge and a sun drenched deck that is the perfect place to enjoy a bite between rounds or linger over an after-round cocktail and swap stories.
