 Without a doubt, Storey Creek is the best kept golf secret on Vancouver Island. Nestled amongst dense forest and alongside pristine marshland, Storey Creek is a shining example of what all golf courses should be: a symphony of superb holes and spectacular scenery. At Storey Creek it is not uncommon to share the fairways with families of deer or see groups of bald eagles flying overhead. If you can though you will have to try and block that out, because Storey Creek is a fantastic test of golf!
From forgiving par threes to awe-inspiring par fives, Storey Creek will call on every shot in your game and every club in your bag. No hole is perhaps more daunting though than the sublime thirteenth. A staggering 561 yard dogleg right, this hole commands you to "grip it and rip it" if you have any fantasies about an eagle. Be careful though, the entire right side of the fairway is water.
Any errant drives will quickly turn par into a great score. A full fairway wood is required for your second shot if you want to try and reach the well-guarded and elevated green. If that shot isn’t in your bag, lay-up and let your short game do the work. With a choice of four tee blocks throughout the course, the degree of challenge at Storey Creek is up to you.
