| Day 1: |
Arrive on beautiful Vancouver Island and drive to Parksville. Play Morningstar Golf Club (Your preference of tee time.) The former home of the Canadian Tour Qualifying School Morningstar is a golfing-gem of central Vancouver Island. The course will take you from an open meadow into an evergreen forest, and over rolling terrain. At over 7000 yards from the tournament tees, with a slope of 139, Morningstar has all the challenge any rational golfer could want. The course becomes much more manageable from the blue and white tees though with a slope of 129.
After your round at Morningstar, make the short drive to Nanoose Bay and check-in to your choice of Forest View, Ocean View or Superior Ocean View Rooms at the Fairwinds Schooner Cove Resort. The Schooner Cove Resort is nestled on the rocky shoreline of the east coast of Vancouver Island. The hotel has a full service restaurant, bar, heated outdoor pool, hot tub, health & fitness centre, tennis courts and much more. Activities that are available at the Schooner Cove Marina include salmon fishing, cruising, Sea-Kayaking and many more other fantastic activities. With all this to offer on top of a fantastic golf course, it is no wonder that Fairwinds Schooner Cove was named the top CPGA facility of the year!
Spend the evening enjoying your incredible new surroundings. |
| Day 2: |
Play Crown Isle (Your preference of tee time.). A course that demands length and control off the tee, Crown Isle has become known as one of the best courses in Western Canada. It has played host to the Canadian Tour’s Payless Championship and numerous other prestigious events. Bring a hot driver and a trust-worthy putter and you will do beautifully on this memorable championship course. If the round was a tough one, don’t worry. The 48,000 square foot clubhouse has a superb deck and a great menu that will quickly erase everything but the good shots from your memory. |
| Day 3: |
Checkout of the hotel in the morning before heading to the first tee. Play Fairwinds Golf & Country Club (Your preference of tee time.). Designed by Les Furber, at 6141 yards Fairwinds is a target-style course. Aggressive golfers will particularly enjoy Fairwinds as it tempts you with opportunities at heroic shots. Be careful though, the potential for punishment is severe. Regardless of what your style is, Fairwinds is a fantastic test of golf.
Relax over a meal or a drink on the deck at Fairwinds before heading home at your leisure. Thank you for traveling with BC Golf Safaris! |
