Spend the evening enjoying your beautiful new surroundings! |
| Day 2: |
Play Bear Mountain Golf & Country Club (Your preference of tee time.). Designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus and his son Steve Nicklaus, Bear Mountain is destined to become one of the greatest courses in Canada. Set on the slopes of a wooded mountain the course takes golfers through forests, around rock bluffs, over lakes and streams and beside some of the most awe-inspiring scenery on the island. You are sure to enjoy your round at Bear Mountain! |
| Day 3: |
Checkout of your hotel in the morning before heading to the golf course. Play Olympic View Golf Club (Your preference of tee time.). Voted as one of Canada’s top thirty-five courses, Olympic View is a challenging but absolutely beautiful course. With two waterfalls, tree-lined fairways and manicured grounds the score almost becomes unimportant at Olympic View. I’m sure you will love this challenging course.
Relax over a meal or a drink on the deck at Olympic View before driving 90 minutes north to the Oceanside region and check-in to your choice of Forest View, Ocean View or Superior Ocean View Rooms at the Fairwinds Schooner Cove Resort. The Schooner Cove Resort is nestled on the rocky shoreline of the east coast of Vancouver Island. The hotel has a full service restaurant, bar, heated outdoor pool, hot tub, health & fitness centre, tennis courts and much more. Activities that are available at the Schooner Cove Marina include salmon fishing, cruising, Sea-Kayaking and many more other fantastic activities. With all this to offer on top of a fantastic golf course, it is no wonder that Fairwinds Schooner Cove was named the top CPGA facility of the year!
Spend the evening enjoying your incredible new surroundings. |
| Day 4: |
Play Fairwinds Golf & Country Club (Your preference of tee time.). Designed by Les Furber, at 6141 yards Fairwinds is a target-style course. Aggressive golfers will particularly enjoy Fairwinds as it tempts you with opportunities at heroic shots. Be careful though, the potential for punishment is severe. Regardless of what your style is, Fairwinds is a fantastic test of golf. |
| Day 5: |
Checkout of your hotel in the morning before heading to the first tee. Play Morningstar Golf Club (Your preference of tee time.) The former home of the Canadian Tour Qualifying School Morningstar is a golfing-gem of central Vancouver Island. The course will take you from an open meadow into an evergreen forest, and over rolling terrain. At over 7000 yards from the tournament tees, with a slope of 139, Morningstar has all the challenge any rational golfer could want. The course becomes much more manageable from the blue and white tees though with a slope of 129.
Relax over a meal or a drink on the deck at Morningstar before driving 60 minutes north to Courtenay and check-in to your choice of hotel:
Travelodge Courtenay: Locally owned and operated the Travelodge Courtenay offers clean comfortable rooms, central location and friendly service. Choose from tastefully decorated standard or deluxe rooms. If you would prefer to prepare some of your own meals the Travelodge Courtenay also offers room with kitchenettes. All accommodations come with your choice of one or two beds, in-room coffee, TV, and telephone, free continental breakfast and daily newspaper.
Best Western Westerly Hotel. The hotel features comfortable guest rooms with river and mountain views. Each well-appointed room is fully equipped with cable satellite television and complimentary access to wireless high-speed Internet. Guests can relax and further enjoy their stay with other hotel amenities, including a heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, exercise
4½ star Crown Isle Villas: Located within close proximity to the beautiful Resort Center and the first tee, the villas are a perfect opportunity to stay on site at the fantastic Crown Isle Golf Course. Your room has two queen beds, a TV, coffee maker with complimentary coffee and tea; the bathroom has a shower and tub. Your room will be overlooking the first fairway. |
| Day 6: |
Play Storey Creek (Your preference of tee time.). Because the fairways are so tree lined you often cannot see the other holes. This makes Storey Creek one of those rare courses that makes you feel like you are the only one on the course. Add to that deer on the course, eagles overhead, and a superb track that has hosted the B.C. Men’s Amateur championship and you understand why Storey Creek is a must play on the North Island. |
| Day 7: |
Checkout of your hotel in the morning before heading to the first tee. Play Crown Isle (Your preference of tee time). A course that demands length and control off the tee, Crown Isle has become known as one of the best courses in Western Canada. It has played host to the Canadian Tour’s Payless Championship and numerous other prestigious events. Bring a hot driver and a trust-worthy putter and you will do beautifully on this memorable championship course. If the round was a tough one, don’t worry. The 48,000 square foot clubhouse has a superb deck and a great menu that will quickly erase everything but the good shots from your memory.
Relax over a meal or a drink at the Crown Isle clubhouse before heading home at your leisure. Thank you for traveling with BC Golf Safaris! |
