 Gorge Vale Golf Club is one of Victoria’s oldest and most popular courses. Located five minutes from the heart of downtown, this semi-private course plays as if you are in the heart of the Scottish Parklands. Rolling terrain, undulating greens and ever-present trees are the principle defenses at Gorge Vale. Recent renovations to the course, including improved drainage and the addition of several new water hazards and bunkers, have made Gorge Vale Golf Club an almost irresistible addition to any Victoria golf vacation.
Ranging from 112 to 187 yards, the par 3 fifth hole is a great example of the newest brand of Gorge Vale Golf. Lengthened and toughened from its previous configuration, this hole now requires you to carry water from everywhere but the forward tees. The two tiered green is guarded by bunkers right and left and a towering Douglas Fir short and right. Choose the right club and momentarily block out the waiting hazards and you will do beautifully on this immaculate hole. Chose the wrong club or start thinking about all that water and you may find yourself hitting your third shot from the drop zone.
 No matter what style of golf you play, you are sure to enjoy your round of golf at Gorge Vale Golf Club. Long hitters will have several chances to flex their driving muscles on Gorge Vale’s long par fours and fives while finesse players will have plenty of opportunity to gain back strokes on the deceptively fast and challenging greens.
